Top Features, Pricing, Pros, Cons & Verdict

What is Evernote?

Evernote is a note-taking application that was first built in 2000. It is available on iOS, Android, macOS, web, and Windows. Professionals and individuals use it to take notes, add tasks & manage calendar notes in one.

It is famous for note-taking and has a traditional format for collecting and organizing notes. Bending Spoons acquired Evernote and are the developers and owners.

Who is Evernote best for?

Evernote is one of the oldest note-taking apps on the market.

For many people, they have turned away from the old giant for apps like Notion, but with their new ownership, Evernote has a potential future in our opinion. For those looking at Evernote now, if the more traditional features appeal, that's good, that is what Evernote does well right now, but in 6-12 months Evernote could look a lot different.

Does everything you need it to

I’ve been using Evernote for over a decade. It was always fine but never great. It was very slow and clunky but has had a resurgence since Bending Spoons bought it. Like others, I’ve considered many of the newer options out there but always felt that they were growing too fast and quickly became overwhelming or were too new and would end up shutting down. All that to say, I personally believe that Evernote is the best productivity tool out there. It’s the best to just throw content, words, attachments, anything in it like a vault and trust that it’ll be there or can be found. It’s gotten much faster recently and the updates are very welcomed. It’s a true revival of an OG productivity app. The only thing I wish it had were more or better ways to connect notes so that they could be resurfaced without searching for them.
