Todoist brings a new layer to your projects by introducing calendar view to projects. This won't be global calendar but this news offers a tease. Let's unpack how it works and what's new with this Todoist feature.
Todoist has lots of plans for 2024 to be their biggest year yet.
With team workspaces, calendars, and evolving Todoist into more of a daily planning application on their mind, so is their focus and innovation to do it right. This new release is just a taste of what is to come and we have some screenshots that might give you a clue into where Todoist is going with their calendar feature in 2024.
The project calendar in Todoist is basically what it says on the tin. A project with a calendar view allows you to see your tasks as dates associated.
Developed by Paweł, one of the Todoist's team developers, this new release wants to bring Todoist into the realm of day planner allowing you to visualize your calendar with tasks.
We managed to cover many of the updates over on YouTube if you wanted more of a visual exploration into what this new release brings.
For those projects that have key dates or multiple deadlines, you might want that expressed in the form of a calendar mode. Plus, this is something that Todoist users have been begging for for many years now.
What's included in this current version:
Todoist want to focus on getting a weekly view out for calendar and all tasks view.
This view will be great for those who want to schedule exact timing and changes the way we can timebox and plan inside of Todoist going into 2024.
Todoist have also hinted at the ability to add colours to your tasks allowing for a better vision for time-blocking techniques that want to bring in more productivity based methodologies.
These are early shots from the Todoist team, not the finished article.
Todoist plans to add full scale calendar mode in 2024 with week and time-box modes.
