A good to have tool in your productivity arsenal

Todoist has really been a staple for task management in the productivity community and that's for definite reasons that revolve around a very thought out design and practical features. It's quick to get started and the ability to have a system that can range from simple to complex makes it good for a wide variety of people. Overall, a very robust task management solution that personally keeps all my tasks on track.

A great starting point for productivity newbies

Todoist is probably the best to-do list tool for someone new to getting organized. I would absolutely recommend it to someone who wants a no-faff to-do experience. In my time using the platform though, I do find the limit on the number of allowed projects really limiting and contrary to the purpose of a to-do app. I appreciate how universally available Todoist is. From mobile platforms like iOS and Android to less popular platforms like WearOS or Linux, you can get this app anywhere! Personally, my poweruser suggestion for a tasks app would be to use a Nextcloud instance and then use open source apps like Tasks.org for mobile and Kontact for Linux as they offer much more flexibility and function, all for free.

Simple and powerful with a few drawbacks

Love the simplicity and ease of use. It's very fast and practical, but the natural language feature sets limits when creating complex recurring tasks like 'Every 1st Monday of April'.

Simple to use - yet very powerfull

I have been using TodoIst for 2 years now, but only once I really focused on it was I able to change my work-life. App is very simple and you can start using it within an hour. Adding tasks is a breeze, with multiple options yet you can use it as simple as you want or need it. The android app (Add task shorrtcut) is on my main page and I can add tasks on the go (which I do on a daily basis). Shortcuts enable you to immediately with just few click add date, time, sort it to project etc. or just add it to inbox and sort it later. Biggest challenge for me was organizing a structure (projects) as I have slightly unusual workflow, but once I sorted this out, it's my main app.

It's good. Does what you need without bloat!

It's alright. It does everything you want with minimal annoyance which is basically the highest praise you can give any app these days.

Great Quality, Great Price

Todoist continues to be my go-to app for focus and productivity. The online version is always open in Chrome! It is easy to use and integrates well with calendar apps. You can dive deeper into a task with subtasks or keep it simple with a time and date. I also love the ability to prioritize tasks so that it is easy to see your top priorities. I highly recommend Todoist!

The Only ToDo App You'll Need

I've gone back and forth between multiple productivity tools. Things, TickTick, Notion, Apple Reminders, the whole bunch. But I always come back to Todoist. I've been using it for 6 years now. It's just simple, easy to use, and available on all my devices. A lot of what I need is available in the free tier, but their fairly priced pro version also just adds to the overall experience and is highly recommended.

A life changing tool

After reading the book getting things done, I decided to use to-doist to implement the methods of gtg. Immediately i fell in love with it. I don't use it with collaboration features so buying the premium version isn't a problem. I use it to add my next actions as well as the "waiting for items" in my agenda. Long gone are the days where I spent hours trying to remember whatever it was i was supposed to remember today. It works great with other apps I use (gmail, calendar).Overall a great experience.Even if you are a beginner do not be afraid to use it, it is still easy to use. However, once you master it `(and that means making it tailored to your needs , it becomes incredible.10/10 would recommend

After 78K tasks completed, I'd say it's effective

I love ToDoIst. I've helped onboard over a dozen people to adopt it and it's the perfect productivity tool for me. With over 78k tasks completed in 8 years, I'd say it's pretty effective at helping me get through the day, successfully completing what I need to do. It also helps me keep things in perspective. Some systems allow unlimited levels of prioritization, but with ToDoIst, the app design helps you focus on what's important rather than get buried under an endless task stream. I've tried transitioning over to other task systems, and although they work, to me they're not as effective as the simplicity and utility of ToDoIst.

Used to use it, switched to Notion...

It honestly was a great to-do app. But Notion was better because it is free. I liked being able to defer tasks as-needed, and colouring in the to do bubbles was helpful visually as a quick way to determine the status. But all these things, I could do in Notion, and with more customizability.

My #1 recommendation for those not exclusively using iOS/MacOS

I've used ToDoist as my main personal + work task/project manager for years now. I love it. It's my #1 Recommendation for those who ask about my workflow and aren't exclusive iOS/MacOS users. Personally, I've moved from ToDoist to Things3 for very specific use cases that don't negate the simplicity and usability of ToDoist! It's a wonderful application that you should definitely consider to get more organized!

Simple and Effective

I’ve used Todoist for a long time (since 2015) and always liked how it handles tasks. I kept it simple and with Google calendar integration things worked perfectly. A few years ago, I started watching Jeff Su on YouTube, and he always starts his productivity tips with Todoist. I have modified my workflow to that now. That’s because it works well with other tools, thanks to its million integrations. The support team is helpful too. Todoist keeps things simple and gets the job done.

Excellent tasks manager

After trying many todo apps, I always come back to todoist. It is simple to use, has a great design and works with all platforms. The main "complain" is related to the function of adding documents and attachments to a task. It adds it as a comment and I think it is less efficient. If you are ready to pay the premium fee, it is worth the expense.

This app is the industry standard for reminders

To me, this is the "industry standard" for reminder apps—it simply has everything you could need, with great design and a fair price. But it's so perfect that it actually feels boring to me, haha. I can't explain it, but after trying it for a few months, I felt like I completed fewer tasks compared to when I use my current app (and longtime favorite), Things 3, even though it has fewer features.

Frustrated, but nice app

App is great for the brain, it’s the kinda of app that you want to keep looking at. From subscriptions tasks to daily reminders. It’s simple but yea elegant. Contrast on colors are exceptional but the BUGS are keeping me from wondering if I should keep. I have SNOOZE reminder BUG. I mean I try to schedule things when I will get them done but sometimes you just have to snooze & it doesn’t always work. It doesn’t show when you snoozed it so that also complicates things. I’m just more frustrated than happy w/ the app. The thing is once they changed a snooze setting everything went down hill. And they don’t fix it why just why 😞

Best Task Manager Out There

I've been a Pro subscriber for about 7 years and have never considered switching. Before Todoist, I hopped around every few years for various reasons. Sometimes the app got purchased and sometimes it no longer suited my needs. I have never felt the need to switch from Todoist. The natural language makes adding a new task on the fly so quick and easy. Overall, it's beautiful and easy to use. I never experience friction. It's truly my secret weapon. People wonder how I stay on top of my work and responsibilities. I could not do it without Todoist. It's my true second brain.

I’ve been using it for the past 10 years It’s the most reliable app out there You can start as simple as you want, and create complex systems that really hone your productivity. Can’t imagine my life without it 😅 Disclaimer: Even though I use pretty much all apps and right now, and I use Notion and Akiflow the most, Todoist never leave my side is the go to all rounder to do list.

Literally changed my life…

I’m a sysadmin with diagnosed mild ADHD. Before finding Todoist, I struggled with staying on task and remembering to do things I was asked and/or that I promised. I suffered from completing only the most recent task I was asked, often leaving other tasks forgotten and incomplete midway. Todoist helped me overcome that by providing an easy interface that allows me to capture tasks whenever and wherever they strike. My favorite “feature” has to be the wide array of integration options that are out there. This allows me to “batch” tasks much easier. For example, if I’m slacked a request I can simply right click that request and add it straight to Todoist to do later, with other similar tasks. I’m now also no longer a slave to my email — I check it twice per day, creating tasks straight from my email interface. The free version is more than enough, but the annual subscription is well worth it— if to only support development. Having multiple (unlimited?) filters and projects really lets you stretch Todoist to fit your workflow and work-style and is easily the best money I spend all year.

Great app for organising my Tasks

I have used Todoist for 5 years and this app has transformed my task management experience. To start, it's incredibly user-friendly. You can seamlessly access your tasks from various devices. What's even more impressive is the natural language input. I love the UI and UX of Todoist. It does its job well without cluttering the app with countless unwanted features.
