Solid tool, but is feature-poor compared to the note-taking landscape

Reflect is a tool that I use every single day for the past two years. It's been very reliable and it just works really well. I mainly use it to write about my fleeting thoughts - things I did, meetings, hangouts, friendships, and others. It's really fast and simple making it easy to use every single day. However, compared to other tools, it may not provide as much value for money. It depends on who you are. If you are a university student or a casual PKM learner, then this may not be enough. If you are a busy professional, then this is the perfect tool. But for me, I'm just lazy, that's why I use Reflect cause it's simple and frictionless.

Reflect is a good, but opinionated note taking tool with a stand out feature

Reflect is a good note-taking tool. Its AI implementation is currently the most useful on the market. Reflect is minimal overall, and the founders consistently emphasize that fact. The app has a very clean and visible roadmap, and the releases are consistent and meaningful. Using the app daily is simple and provides a good overall experience. It is quick and responsive in the Mac ecosystem and on the web. The design aesthetic of Reflect fits with its minimal and opinionated philosophy. The dark mode is dark blue, and the light mode is white. There is no text highlighting in Reflect, no tables, only bullets, sub-bullets, and fundamental text elements like bold and headings. You're not making beautifully designed notes of pages in the app; you're just taking notes. This has upsides in terms of the application's quickness and downsides as well. Once you've taken those notes, which you can also dictate with the built-in Whisper functionality, you can work with them using Reflects' outstanding AI pallet and its ability to use AI to chat with your notes. Finally, the community surrounding Reflect is outstanding. From sharing custom AI prompts that can be used in the AI pallet to even basic help for new users, the Discord community is robust. For as small as it is, the Reflect team can often be found there.
