What is Kosmik App?
With its infinite canvas and support for web pages, pdfs and multimedia, Kosmik is the most complete and easiest to use visual research platform for individuals and teams alike.
🌍 The web browser for research
Just press W to browse the web. Kosmik supports popular search engines and connects to your favorite research and design apps - like Figma, Notion, and Pinterest.
Click on the capture button, highlight any item on the page and just click to add it to your canvas. Kosmik will proceed to auto-tag and describe it for you.
When you select an item previously retrieved from a web page you can click on the source button to re-open its original page.
📄 A complete PDF record.
Just like our browser, the PDF reader has a capture button allowing you to select any part of a page and extract it on the canvas.
Add post-it notes, or comments.
Click on a PDF captured region you can re-open the file at the correct page by clicking on the source ⇱ backlink button.
🪄 A full auto-tagging and search system
⌘K and type away. Kosmik index the content of your canvases but also recognises objects, subjects and even colours in images. You can even search for a topic and surface relevant PDF files.
On top of AI auto-tagging and smart search we also index every text object completely so you can find precisely what you're looking for.

Kosmik v.3.0 - very interesting!
It's an interesting app made by a dedicated indie team that cares about what they are doing, are extremely active in their community, and responsive when it comes to bugs & feature requests. The closest tool that I can compare it to is Freeform by Apple and Kosmik is a lot richer and fuller experience. Pros: - Very fast - macOS desktop app is beautifully designed - in-app browser is a brilliant feature and very useful! Cons: - It's still a work in progress - No user-created tagging system

Innovative concept - but needs more time to bake
Kosmik has something I've used sometimes when I want to research more to the creative side. Pros: - Really fast browser, faster than Arc, Chrome, Brave and etc. - Useful for spatial research. Cons: - Unclear usage, needs a better onboarding with sample boards to clearly understand the value proposition - Needs templates so we can get right into it immediately.
