Fantastic free alternative to Excel
Google Sheets is a fantastic alternative to Microsoft Excel, especially for those looking for a cloud-based solution. It’s good for creating Gantt charts for work, time tracking, and managing data efficiently. With its powerful formula support, real-time collaboration features, and seamless integration with other Google apps, it’s incredibly practical for both individual and team use. Plus, the free 15GB of storage is more than enough for most users, making it an excellent choice for casual and professional tasks alike.

Not quite Excel, but great in its own way
I use Google sheets daily, and have been for most of the time that it has been available. As an early adopter, and someone who uses Excel daily at work, I was excited about a, basically free, alternative to Excel. First, what Google sheets does better is share-ability and connectivity. Users are able to link and integrate other tools into Google sheets (and vice-versa). Users are also able to easily share Google sheets with others. With Excel, users have to share files, which could become old/outdated. Additionally, it's more difficult to connect excel to other tools without some sort of hosting service. Secondly, Google sheets misses a lot of advanced features Excel has. For most day-to-day spreadsheet usage, Google Sheets is the way to go for portability and integrations.

Typical excel app but online
Sure, it's not as complex as excel. But who actually needs that. For a day to day task: creating charts, filtering stuff, Google form integration, budgeting app, it works well. And honestly, that's all people need.

It's useful and simple
It's great and easier to use on my smartphone then Excel (don't know why but it is). Don't see much difference for Excel
