Free and Good for Students

I've been using Google Docs as a student since the beginning of high school. It is done in a browser and automatically saves everything which helps a TON. It is an easy tool to understand, and it very simple to organize in Google Drive. You can also import and export as Word files (doc, docx) which is really useful if professors or coworkers use Microsoft Word.

Great for collaboration & personal use

Everybody uses Google Docs, so they know all the features that come with it. In my personal experience, it has been such a great tool to use over the years. Better than Microsoft Word, because cloud is king. One issue that I can point out is that they're a bit slow in the AI race. There's just way better Document Editor such as Lex (being the best), Olovka, Jenni.ai and more. Otherwise, I recommend this to anyone because it just works and everyone uses Google's Workspace, so they can easily collaborate easily.

Simple and effective

Before my team at work switched to Notion, Google Docs was our go to for collaborating on documents and its a very simple, effective and robust solution. Google has been slowly upgrading it with small features without making it cluttered which is great. The ability to collaborate and share docs with anyone quickly is a huge plus.

Daily usage must have
