The Default Great Email App

Gmail is the only email app I use, and for good reason. It’s simple, intuitive, and perfect for casual users like me. The free 15GB of storage is plenty for most people, and the integrations with Google Workspace make it super practical. From smart filters to labels and a reliable mobile app, Gmail does it all without feeling overwhelming. If you’re looking for an email app that just works, Gmail’s a no-brainer! P.S. I recommend watching a tutorial on how to set up an INBOX Zero system in Gmail. It has made my experience there a lot better!

Use Outook and Twobird Instead

Too many ads and lacks the basic features other email apps offer like the separation of focused vs unfocused emails. It has its own categorization of primary and social but the former categorization is more useful. I used Outlook on mobile and Twobird on PC.

The GOAT of email - however dated that may be

When Gmail came out, it revolutionized email. Many companies still use Outlook, which is fine, but Gmail helped encourage the cloud-based mentality that we see almost everywhere today. Gmail has all the features needed to manage email. From favorites (stars), to rules (filters), and everything in between like tags (labels) and inbox delegation. Gmail even has, in my opinion, the best spam filtering compared to everything else I've tried. There are even integrations with tools like IFTTT. The only drawback I've found is that it starts to cost more when someone wants to have emails to be sent from their own domain. The steps/process/management of a business email account is overly complicated.

It's a great app

It's great but sometimes i find it a bit confusing even though I'm using it forever now... Google should do something about the design (it's getting older...). It has a lot of features (some are really great), the integration with almost everything is insane
