How does FLOWN work?
Flown is one of many co-working software options available for online body-doubling. The concept is very simple: You can join a co-working space with a small group of people and work with them in real time.
Flown sessions are run through Zoom, where you join the meeting and are met by a group of participants. During the session, you can work alone with a facilitator's guidance or join breakout rooms to meet others and share goals and focuses. It’s a great option to consider for body-doubling, a technique that works well for people with ADHD.
Is Flown a virtual co-working platform?
FLOWN sessions are part of a membership for co-working online. Once you're in the membership, you can participate in sessions that allow you to join a group call. Each group call is designed around setting an intention and helps a person stay focused in the two-hour time slot with others to focus on that intention.

Verdict: Should you get FLOWN?
It is well worth considering if you struggle at home to get focused.
Those who have been remote working for a few years now might not have been able to get into the flow of things and truly optimize their days. With many heading back to the office, many remote work employees are looking for ways to stimulate staff and boost productivity. This could be one of those methods.
We tested FLOWN for 30 days and were impressed with how it works for various activities. What we liked about it was that it was simple, the sessions were well-managed by real people, and it worked smoothly with Zoom. We didn't like that it is a fixed system, so when you are in flow, you get distracted by breaks and facilitator-led break activities. However, it primarily works well for those looking at virtual co-working.
This is best for:
- Those with ADHD who want to try body-doubling
- Those who need a better accountability system for remote work
